Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases has led to being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell was then employed by the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. The present role of O'Dell as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She's reported on events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of Pre-ShowArrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. In addition, she hosted for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
